Pekotype is an independent type foundry based in Malang, Indonesia, dedicated to one simple belief: a typeface should do more than look good — it should carry meaning, personality, and purpose in every curve and stroke.

We design typefaces for the moments that matter in branding — a
bakery's first logo, a startup's pitch deck, a wedding invitation
that needs to feel personal. Whether it's a bold display font meant
to command attention or a quiet serif built for long-form reading,
every typeface we release goes through the same question: does this
font earn its place in someone's project?

We don't chase trends for the sake of it. Instead, we build fonts
that balance two things designers actually need — visual character
and everyday usability. A font that looks striking in a mockup but
falls apart in real use isn't a font we'd put our name on.

From bold, chunky display types to refined serifs and playful
script styles, our catalog reflects a range of moods — but every
release shares the same foundation: careful spacing, considered
weight, and glyphs that hold up whether they're on a billboard or
a business card.
